now, i was lucky it was just chocolate and not a ferrari or something, yea. but seriously, why not just go and indulge in the simple little things we just love! now, don't get me wrong. as long as we're on this earth, we're still going to have responsibilites. things still need to get done. and life is about sacrifices. i believe in working hard. yes. but why not take some time of our day to indulge in what we love.
now, i thought it could be a little dangerous to just do pleasurable things. as these sometimes aren't beneficial. but, what if we fall in love with things which are already good for us. then, we could indulge, yet lead a somewhat healthy lifestyle. things such as exercise and healthy food.
i propose to, everyday, somehow, indulge myself. i will write what i did in this blog and hopefully inspire some people to do what they want to do. maybe not every day. but try it. at least once a week. make some time to do something for you. it could be reading a book. buying a magazine. cooking up that piece of steak. having a glass of wine. calling up an old friend. or kissing that person that has no idea you love them. whatever it is just do it! i'm on it as of today!

today i bought myself white chocolate, some steak (which i deprived myself of for almost 3 months), then went home and indulged in that juicy meat and creamy chocolate :) I'm happy!

sunday= day of rest. but i wanna say that although this blog is about indulging, it's far from being just about me or quick pleasure. it's about discovering myself and who i was made to be. it's about enjoying everyday and living as if there was no tomorrow. it's about nourishing this body...which is a temple. about enlightening the mind and feeding the spirit. it's about relaxing even in the midst of trouble. it's about making peace with myself. it's about being closer to God.
i want to take in the ocean breeze, savor all the wonderful foods out there, dance in the rain, kiss someone passionately, pray hard, feel God... feel his beauty and how much he wants me to be happy. and also all the things he has placed at my hands so i can do just that.
i want to grow, learn, feel, taste, enjoy, laugh, love, ask, see. i hope these daily indulgences can help me accomplish that. being today sunday, i would like to share a little something from the bible which might help explain myself a little more:
THERE'S A TIME FOR EVERYTHING, AND A SEASON FOR EVERY ACTIVITY UNDER THE HEAVENS:
A time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter and a time to gather,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace....
... I can see the burden God has laid on the human race.
He has made everything beautiful in its time.
He has also set eternity in the human heart;
yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.
I KNOW THERE'S NOTHING BETTER FOR PEOPLE
THAN TO BE HAPPY AND TO DO GOOD WHILE THEY LIVE.
That each of them may eat and drink, and find satisfaction in all their toil--
THIS IS THE GIFT FROM GOD!

I went to a Lakers game. Third row seats!!! yay! :) great indulgence lol. I feel like the more determined I am to do this the more opportunities I get to do things that I love to do. It's like it brings a good vibe.
